i feel immensely proud to present the second release from my sixth independent and crowdsourced solo album... as their generosity afforded me the sheer luxury to work with such a sublime arrangement by Violist, Lorento Golofeev, so passionately performed by Canada's critically acclaimed, Black Dog String Quartet...

three years in the making!

i felt so challenged (at times, defeated) in learning how to finesse the unique blend of a cherished grunge era classic with the magic of classical instrumentation. while my voice is quiet, it needed to be loud. i felt like a disappointment (at times, an imposter) while this took so much longer than anticipated. though, the art is never rushed. akin to the imperfections in the pitch of strings just like the voice, an inability to avoid the creaks caught by microphones, in capturing collective studio noises we sound human. we are merely human. but the music transcends! in the end, how beautiful is that?

so in revisiting the absolutely timeless impact that this song left on many a generation, i remain forever tethered to my youth... when 'dreams come true', where it never hurts to try, and how my community never (ever) failed me as long as i wasn't afraid to ask for help... again and again.
